MACE Wireless Home Security System

I set up and installed a MACE Wireless Home Security System today for a customer that has an aging mother living next door to he and his wife. Their concern, rightfully so, was the possibility of her getting up in the middle of the night and falling and not being able to get to a phone to call for assistance.

The MACE Wireless Home Security System consists of a motion activated alarm, a door/window sensor, a remote "Panic Alarm" and the control unit.

The customer's main interest was the capability of the "Panic Alarm" as he intends to have his mother keep it with her at all times, either pinned to her clothing, on a key chain or attached to her bracelet.

When the remote "Panic Alarm" button is pressed the control unit will automatically dial his cell phone and up to four other phone numbers if he wishes. The set up was very easy.

I tested the distance that the remote control "Panic Alarm" would activate the auto dialer and it worked great from over 100' away, through concrete walls!

Some of the nice features of the The MACE Wireless Home Security System are that if the "Panic Alarm" is activated the person called has the option of listening in on what is going on at the location, speaking to whoever is there through the main control unit, or disarming the system.

If you are looking for an alarm system for your home this is the one to buy. The motion activation alarm and the door/window sensor will activate the alarm which then auto dials any phone numbers you choose, up to a total of 5. The main unit itself emits an ear piercing siren which can deter any possible burglar.

I would HIGHLY recommend the MACE Wireless Home Security System!

The TASER C2: Self Defense for Independent, Confident Women

For a woman to truly feel safe in today's troubled times it's important that she has the resources she needs to defend herself. TASER products are giving women the power they need to take control and protect themselves out on the streets with the release of the TASER C2.

The TASER C2 utilizes the same technology used in TASER International's law enforcement models to effectively stun an assailant up to fifteen feet away. The device works by emitting a sophisticated pulse wave utilizing a high voltage leading edge to penetrate up to two inches of clothing, followed by a lower voltage stimulation pulse that causes sufficient neuro muscular incapacitation (an override of the body's natural control systems that affects the sensory and motor functions of the nervous system and impairs muscular control) to leave the assailant helpless long enough for the user to get away.

The TASER C2, specifically designed for today's independent woman, offers numerous advantages over similar products on the market.

The TASER C2 uses the only proven technology capable of incapacitating individuals under the influence of PCP and other mind altering drugs that block the body's ability to recognize pain.

The TASER C2 is completely effective when applied anywhere on the body, either from a distance of 15 feet or less or in the event of direct contact, making it easier to use and more effective under stress than a firearm or chemical defense such as MACE or pepper spray.

The device has one of the lowest injury rates of any force option, meaning that the user can incapacitate her assailant without fear of causing permanent injury. This opens the door for use of this technology in domestic situations where a woman is forced to defend herself against someone she knows and would be hesitant to harm otherwise.

The TASER C2 uses CheckLok technology that locks the device during shipping and can only be unlocked using an activation code sent to the user following an extensive background check and effective registration to ensure that the unit does not fall into the wrong hands.

TASER offers a lifetime replacement guarantee on the TASER C2 that promises free replacement if the device is left behind when fleeing the scene, enabling the user to stun her assailant and get away without wasting time retrieving the device if it should be dropped.

"Your life is worth more to us than the cost of a TASER device," promises the team at TASER International.

The TASER C2 is also the only personal protection device of its kind to implement an accountability feature designed to prohibit abuse of the device. When the unit is discharged it releases a spray of confetti-like ID tags on the scene that are impractical to clean up before fleeing and the tags easily identify the device used in a police investigation.

"No other weapon in the world-guns, knives, chemical and pepper sprays, electronic defense units or batons-can be traced from evidence at the scene of the crime to the registration of the user," says TASER International. "It all comes back to registration, verification, tracking and responsibility. It is not required by law; we think it's the right thing to do."

The TASER C2 is not considered a firearm by federal officials and therefore can be carried without a permit in most states; however, TASER International encourages users to check their state laws concerning the use of energy discharge weapons before placing an order.

Available in many designer styles and colors and equipped with full training resources, the TASER C2 is the next wave in personal defense technology for today's woman.

Reasons to Use Hidden Cameras

There are many reasons to use hidden cameras. Many of the reasons take place at work, at home, in a parking lot, and much more. Protecting yourself, your family, and your property is the best thing you can do and hidden cameras can assist you with that in many ways.

Hidden cameras can be placed almost anywhere and be used for almost any reason. They are small and can fit in little places while they blend in with the environment. They can be motion detected, sound activated, can be battery operated, and more. If you suspect something is going on in your home or office then you may consider using a camera to find out if your suspicions are true.

One reason to use hidden cameras is at work. Statistics show that employees in retail jobs are the ones that steal from the companies and not so much the customers. Cameras allow you to confirm your suspicions and find out which employee is taking from you. Workplace issues with employees stealing office supplies and even money from the petty cash drawer is also very common. It is hard to prove who did it with a number of employees and when it is happening in your office. This is the best time to get a hidden camera so you can find out which employee it is that is betraying you.

Kids often get out of control when you are away from home. You may suspect your kids are going through your bedroom or in the office on your computer while you are away but you cannot prove it. Hidden cameras are the best solution to finding out who did what while you were away. There is no more denying it when you have a video for proof of who was in your room. When you have a lot of kids it is hard to tell who is telling the truth. Now you can record their every move while you are away and find out if they really are having parties or if they are behaving themselves.

If you have a vehicle and you find that it has been damaged many times by someone repeatedly running their key along the side of it while you are working or even stealing parts from it at night while you are asleep then you can use hidden cameras. The only downfall to using outdoor cameras like this is that they will pick up more activity than you may want to watch. You will however find out what is going on at night around your vehicle.

There are many reasons to use hidden cameras. The use of cameras is becoming more and more popular as people are stealing and finding they are losing revenues due to a dwindling inventory and no sales to correspond. Cameras provide the best solution to getting down to the bottom of it. You won't have to worry anymore about what is going on because you will have the proof in the video surveillance. Cameras can save your life from burglars and protect your children from harm also.

Types of Hidden Cameras

Cam Stick Pro
There are many different types of hidden cameras you might consider if you want to put up surveillance in your home, office, or workplace. These different types include motion detectors, timed cameras, sound activated, nanny cams, and more.

The motion detector cameras are excellent hidden cameras because they use less energy. They require fewer batteries and are the most cost effective camera you can purchase. This is because they only begin recording when the sensors inside of the unit pick up movement in the room. The camera will activate when it detects movement and immediately begin recording. These types of cameras will record the video to things like SD cards or send it out directly to a monitor screen. This is commonly used for video surveillance for security guards and other job types. Some people like to put the motion detector cameras outside if they suspect someone is messing with their car in a specific parking space and they don't know who it is. The good news is that it can help you catch a criminal but you may have video that is of no good to you from the wind blowing paper across the screen or animals setting off the video recordings.

Many of the motion detection or other hidden cameras are timed. They only run for a specific amount of time and then they stop. These cameras are often used in things like nanny cams and other surveillance cameras. Most people who use things like this want to verify if the babysitter is treating their children right or if the kids are out of control when you leave the house for a few hours. The timed cameras will begin recording by you turning on the device. They will record for a set amount of time and then stop. This could cause you to miss out on vital information or details.

Nanny cams and other hidden cameras come in a large variety of shapes and sizes. They are great because they usually come in a format of a stuffed animal, alarm clock, wall clock, book, or some other thing that has a hidden camera inside of it and you cannot see it no matter how hard you look. These cameras blend in well with the environment. You can purchase a hidden camera in the form of a book and place it in the bookshelf with the rest of your collection. No one would ever suspect there was a camera inside and it would not be evident.

When you purchase hidden cameras for your surveillance purposes there are many for you to choose from. You may decide to get a motion detection camera or even a timed camera. Some of them record to SD cards so you can pop them out and go straight to the SD slot on your computer or television and immediately begin viewing the video. Some cameras look like stuffed animals or a pack of cigarettes and are designed to blend in with the environment while they record hours of video.

Dating Tips and Personal Protection

Hottie Small Fry 1000000 Volt Mini Stun Gun Rechargeable
There are many things to consider when you are going out on a date. Many women go on blind dates all of the time and they don't realize they are hours away from being attacked when they could have seen the signs, had personal protection products available, and done things differently.

Dating is when you first get to know someone. It is common for most people to know nothing about their date the first few times they go out. They are in vulnerable situations. The first few dates are often when rapes and attacks occur. How are you supposed to get to know someone if you don't go on a date?

One of the ways you can make your night safer is to suggest a double date situation. This will allow you to go with one of your friends that you are comfortable with. If your new date doesn't agree or refuses then you may not want to go out with the guy. He should understand it is a safety thing.

You should always pay attention to the body language of a date. When you are out on a date and he appears to get angry quickly or agitated at the little things these should be signs that you may be in danger. The body language is usually there and women do not see it until after it is too late.

There are self defense products that you can purchase to protect yourself from harm. These products include pepper spray, tasers, mace, stun guns, and more. All of these items are non lethal and they will disable a person for a short period of time but long enough so you have the opportunity to get away. These types of devices used for self defense may save your life.

When you go out on a date you need to find out personal information about him. If he doesn't want to share information with you then you should be leery. You should ask things about him like where he works, if he is online with networking sites, where he lives, if he was previously married, etc. The Internet is your friend when it comes to researching people and you can learn a lot about someone by using the net. Always research someone before you go out with them. It would be devastating to find that the guy has women all over the web blogging about how he hurt them or did something to them and you didn't see the warnings until it was too late.

When you are considering dating or you have a daughter that is dating there are many things you can do to be safe and provide personal protection. You should arm yourself with a self defense device and know how to use it. You may even consider a small GPS device so your friends know where you are during the date, consider a double date, and find out as much information about him as possible. You might see warning signs that will save your life if you are looking for them.

How to Use Pepper Spray

pepper shot pepper spray
When you use pepper spray there are many different things to consider so you spray it right. These things include shielding your eyes, aiming, shooting, timing, and much more. Pepper spray could save your life if someone is trying to hurt you. It is vital you learn the proper techniques so you can get it right.

The basic technique to spray pepper spray is to hold the canister upright and press the button down. You would be balanced on both of your feet and ready to spray. You should warn the person with the free hand and shout as loud as you can for the assailant to stop.

You need to aim the pepper spray directly at the face of the attacker. Try to get the pepper spray into their eyes and face. If you cannot get the face then it may not help you or be effective. Don't spray a person's clothing. Aim for the face and eyes. Continue spraying and follow their head as they try to move away. Make sure the person gets a good dose of the pepper spray before you run away.

Another thing to consider is that many people close their eyes when they use pepper spray. This is the last thing you want to do. Spray the person in the fact for 2 to 3 seconds and do not close your eyes. Closing your eyes will cause you to lose concentration and even track of time. You are supposed to be running after you spray the person really good and closing your eyes will not help.

Do not hesitate at all to spray the pepper spray. When you spray the pepper spray it is vital that you do not hesitate at all or show the person you are nervous. This could cause the attacker to sense your nervousness and not fear the pepper spray. Aim and shoot and don't even think about it. It isn't going to kill the person but get them away from you.

Timing is everything when it comes to the spray. Shoot the person in the face with the spray when you are ready but you must hold down the lever for a few seconds. If you don't even hold it down but for a little spurt then you are not using the pepper spray to be as effective as it should be. You need to spray the canister for a few seconds at least.

There are many things you need to consider when it comes to using pepper spray and what you need to do when you are spraying it. Focus on getting your attacker in the face and all over the head. Spray for a few seconds and long enough to where they are disabled and you are surely going to get away. Don't close your eyes, aim and shoot. The great thing that you have on your side is the surprise factor. Most criminals don't know what it feels like and they don't expect something so horrible when they get a big shot in the face.

Types of Self Defense

There are many different types of self defense you should learn how to use if you are looking for methods of personal protection. These different types of defense include pepper spray, stun guns, and tasers. These are very effective methods of disabling a person so you can escape from the dangerous situation.

Pepper spray is a self defense spray that is made of cayenne pepper. This spray is in an aerosol can and sprays in foams and even streams. This solution burns so bad that it will cause temporary disabling effects on a person for up to several hours. A person will be temporarily blinded, choke and gasp for air, and their skin will even burn. All of these effects are temporary and a person will not experience anything that is permanent to the person. You can stand up to 15 feet away from an assailant and the spray will be effective. You do not have to be close up. This type of self defense mechanism works for up to 30 minutes to several hours and gives you plenty of time to get away.

Tasers are almost 100% effective in disabling a person and best for police work and catching someone. A taser works by sending jolts of electricity into a body and disables the nervous and the muscular system. Of over 3,000 people tested with a taser, not one person was not disabled and able to function with the jolts. A taser looks like a handgun. You hold it like a handgun, and you shoot it like a handgun. When using a taser you don't have to be touching the assailant. You can stop someone from 15 feet away if you want to.

Stun guns
also send a jolt of wattage throughout the body but the stun guns only affect the nervous system. They are not considered to be as effective. Someone who is on heavy drugs or has a big build may not even feel the effects of a stun gun like they would a taser. Stun guns work very well on some people but they are not ideal. The reason is that the stun guns provide a shock and can disable a person for just a few seconds. You have to be touching the person physically with the stun gun for it to work which can be dangerous to get that close to find that the stun gun doesn't work and not the attacker has you.

There are many different types of self defense personal protection items you might consider. The most common are the stun guns, the pepper spray, and the tasers. All of these three types of self defense do not provide any permanent damage to a body nor do they lead to death. They are extremely safe methods of personal protection that give you enough time to escape the attacker. The pepper spray is the cheapest method and the most effective to use if you are looking for something that lasts a long time. A taser is the most effective and guaranteed to work but it only works when both darts make contact with the attacker.
